I was staying at the Wynn in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, and my husband and I took tickets to watch the show-Le Reve at the hotel. It was phenomenal. No thought about it! I was wondering--what is the story behind Le Reve? Please and thank you!!

*Answer this if you've seen Le Reve...please do not answer my question if you do not know or have never seen Le Reve. Thanks!*

Le Rêve was the first production show to open in the Wynn Las Vegas casino resort. It is set in a one million-gallon water capacity theater and features diving and feats of strength with state-of-the-art special effects, where no seat is more than 40 feet from the stage. The production was created by Franco Dragone and is similar to the shows produced by Cirque du Soleil. Dragone, who was the director behind O, La Nouba, Mystère, Alegría and Quidam,

Le Rêve was the working name of the resort before it was changed to Wynn Las Vegas. "Le Rêve" means "The Dream" in French, and is the name of the centerpiece painting that Steve Wynn owns, Le Rêve by Picasso.

Le Rêve is to create an entirely new universe, to transport everyone into a world where the theater, performance and audience become one and the same reality," says Franco. "To take them on a journey that through their consciousness touches the emotions in a way that is different and goes further than anything I have done before. To provoke memories and communicate to the audience the fragility of humanity."

"Stones and stars are our sisters" continues Franco paraphrasing Hubert Reeves, "life is short but our race is forever and we all have a responsibility to preserve the links in the chain of life."

Believing that we never dream completely, are never awake completely; are never totally happy or sad, DRAGONE is presenting "a small collection of imperfect dreams" that question our place in the universe through a completely new form of staging and artistic performance, where the theater and water are alive with a translucent energy.

My husband and I went to this show last summer. We had 7th row seats on the end. The first couple of rows were given plastic bags or towels to cover up. There is more splashing at La Reve than at O. The show was awesome and the theater was great. It was cool because the theater is a big circle. It wasn't our favorite but definetly worth seeing. If possible I would get a few rows back so you can see more of the show but you can still see everything in the front row. One of the problems being in the front row is you seem to focus more of what's in front of you rather than seeing what else is around you. Have fun. BTW, the Wynn's buffet is awesome but pricey. Just in case you haven't been.

My husband and I attended this show on one of our many visits to Vegas. And we loved it. We were amazed really at the performances. Also, we were in the 2nd row and we did not get one bit wet. We loved our vantage point, and really the only thing we felt was some mist. However, it's not to say that you won't get a little splashed on. But, it's not like you get soaked or anything like that. It's an amazing show, and well worth seeing for the money. And the front rows aren't a big deal. I am sure that they just have them cheaper as there is the possibility that you could get a little wet and they didn't want to have problems with people wanting their money back because they got wet. Again, even though we didn't see anyone get really wet. Just a little splash here and there. Anyway, you will be fine, you aren't going to get soaked. At the most, a tiny splash or something like that. And personally, I liked being so close to the action. Some of the characters come right up to you from the water and are literally right in front of you, face to face sometimes, within inches. So it makes it really interesting. And fun. Have a good time!!!!!

LeReve is the dream (French) and bizarre. There is no specific story including that of the pregnant lady
