I'm getting married in Las Vegas and my mother in law wants to fly on her boyfriends employee benefits for a cheep flight. I told her don't do it and that she will be stuck because all of the flights will be full. She still thinks she can go on a Wednesday and fly back on a Monday. I need your stories to tell her so she won't do it. I told her the extra room cost will be more then he flight tix. She only has to come for the weekend.

I've never flown standby, but almost all flights these days are overbooked, so it's a big risk. One of my employees had to wait 3 days to get on a flight back to Vegas, and his wife works for the airline.

Flights into & out of Vegas are the cheapest in the country. There's no reason to even risk it if you're coming/going for something special (like a wedding). I've booked several flights cross country (New York, New Orleans, Miami) recently and I've been able to find fares for under $300r/t. If you're west of the Mississippi you should be able to find fares for around $100-150.

I had never had a problem at this airport. I was in the waiting area one day and a trip to Hawaii was cancelled and they had to wait one day for the next connection.

I have used the airport 30 times or more and my lady friend comes to see me from Chicago and she never had a problem/.

Chances are you will not encounter any difficulty here.
