High School in Las Vegas is pretty amazing actually but that can really determine where you live as it has zoning areas for each part of Las Vegas. If you want to live in a community where area is safe (not ghetto), and sights are green and amazing, move to West side of Las Vegas, also known as Summerlin.
Schools: Palo Verde, in my opinion at least, is the best PUBLIC high school to attend and it is zoned for West Las Vegas (Summerlin area) as well as Arbor View (North Las Vegas, in which isn't the BEST place to live) and Coronado (Henderson, a city right beside Las Vegas in which is quite beautiful).

The best high schools in Las Vegas rank high in the system and are in the better Las Vegas areas. However, it doesn't matter which one you are close to. You can go to anyone, but you need to provide your own transportation if its not the one you are zoned for.
There are multiple private ones like Meadows that are great but cost. You cannot just chose a high school. If you have the B average and there is an opening you can chose a high school that is not in your neighborhood. But you have to provide all transportation
