The best Hotel I've found so far is the South Point Hotel & Casino. It's off the strip but it's totally accessible and they have free shuttles that run like every 20 mins to the Strip & some for the airport too. It's great and totally cheap priced for an outragously beautiful place.

Good Luck.

When I stayed in Las Vegas almost 19 years ago now, I stayed in a Motel 6. I remember it was right next to the Tropicana, and it only cost $30 for a fairly plush double room for one night.

I remember so well because the next day, at the all you can eat lunch buffet at the Tropicana for $2.99, I put $1 in a slot machine and it payed for the room plus some change!

I just did a check on the internet, and the same motel next to the Tropicana is doing rooms for about $46 a night.

If you do fly drive deals though, you may find that the accommodation is thrown in free at some of the larger hotels.

Incidently, I have also stayed at Circus Circus in Reno Nevada more recently. (about 8 years ago) The room was very fairly priced, pretty similar to a Motel room, but with lots more luxuries like computer games, and really expensive in room bars.

I have been to Las Vegas many times I cant even count, so take my advice. The Wynn is the best hotel/Casino but the price is high, the Wynn will range from 900 to about 1000. The next great place to stay is the Venation.

There are so many hotels in Vegas. I always choose by theme. Price ranges also vary.

For location and lovely atmosphere Bellagio hands down.

For something less exspensive I recommend The Imperial palace...it is smack dab in the middle of the strip which is so great for convenience. They have a pretty nice pool. Just make sure you pay for the recentlly renovated rooms.

When in vegas you are better off paying for location and the pool, because when you think about it you are going to vegas to have fun, not for the room!

Mandalay Bay has the best pool and a BEACH!! It's awesome. Not inexpensive, but maybe you could get a good package deal. And it's on the strip for convenience. Great poker room if you're into low limit "no limit or limit:" Texas Hold 'em. You can't go wrong with the Mirage, Bellagio, Venetian. (No beaches tho!) :)

A few years ago I spent a week at the Las Vegas Hilton and although not cheap I thought it value for money compared with others.Things have changed in 11 years so I cant give you prices.

You'll really enjoy it if you decide to go.

Bellagio is amazing, pretty much the most expensive for regular rooms but it is beautiful. Their rooms vary according to what is going on. I've seen them start at $149 on regular weekdays no holidays near and seen them as much as starting $398 on a big holiday weekend. You have to understand, All of the big name casinos you hear of (MGM, Ceasars, Mandalay Bay, Wynn, Palms etc...) are gorgeous, you won't go wrong staying at any of them. I've had bad experiences with staying at the Rio (staff related) but their hotel is still nice. If you are looking for the most affluent casino think about Bellegio and Ceasars, those are always my favorite.

The best rooms at the best hotels have unlimited prices 5-10,000 a night. More if you want servants.

What does best mean to you?

I stayed at the Aladdin, which is now Planet Hollywood. It was lovely. I also liked Paris, Caesars Palace and MGM Grand. All those hotels aren't cheap though!

most of the hotels on the strip are worth staying at. the rates of the hotel change often, so it is best to book your rooms directly through the hotels web sites...if you book through them and you see the prices drop, you can get the cheaper price through them.....if you book through a third party.you are stuck with the price you paid.

i have stayed at Mandalay Bay, Treasure Island, Bally's, Alladin, and Paris... they are all great hotels and are all in pretty much the same price range....

Paris and Alladin are nice because they are right in the middle of the strip and you can walk either way to another hotel....Paris and Alladin are connected to each other and Alladin has a very huge mall attached.....

wherever you stay you will have fun....
