Hello,

I like Las Vegas, I've been there just once, although I didn't enter the casino. My aunt is going to Vegas this week and I asked her to take some chips for me. Could anyone recommend me the nicest chips available? I prefer $0.50/$1 chips, but if the $5/$10 chips are much nicer, then I'll ask her to take these.

Thanks!

The casino all have $1 tokens(look like silver dollars) which make nice collectibles, if you go to the cashiers cage and tell them you are a collector they will usually make an effort to find you a nice one.

But, my favorites to collect are the "Silver Strike" $10 1oz commemorative silver coins. Each hotel/casino usually has 3 or 4 different designs for their coins. Silver Strike machines are becoming scarce, I will see if I can come up with a list of hotels that still have these machines.

Silver Strike

Palms

Treasure Island(Ti)

Wynn

Mandalay Bay

Bellagio

Mirage

MGM

NY NY

California

El Cortez

Fitzgeralds

Four Queens

Golden Nugget

Vegas Club

Plaza

Gold Coast

Orleans

Hard Rock

Sam's Town

Silverton

Some of the Silver Strike coins are worth hundreds, the very rare ones are worth thousands. Collectors of these coins even have their own web site.

the only difference between the chips is the color...they all have the same graphic...each casino has a different pic but every money amount is the same....the $1 chips are either blue or white....
