The rank and file of Culinary Local 226 have authorized their negotiating team to threaten a strike if a new contract can't be worked out. But, no hotel or casino is on strike.

Don't worry.

If there is a strike, there is enough people here in Vegas to take their spots.

If you still are very concerned about it, want to save some money, and are still here in Vegas during the weekend, let me know.

I let you have a cheap place to stay and show you around for a very small fee. (20 dollars). I live about 10-15 min from the strip and one bus will take you downtown or the airport.

I have a friend who also cook very good Filipino food and would enjoy the company

If you want email me and I see what I could do.

Hope your stay works out.

My parents live in Las Vegas and they told me that they have been hearing in the news about strikes, but that alot of people are afraid of losing their jobs because of strikes... last time they did something like that they got fired.

To tell you the truth I dont think you will have any problem... there are always strikes in Las Vegas and nothing ever happens =)

Plus alot of these strikes are for the illegal purposes and trust me there are alot of employees who are US citizens and legal residents....dont worry!!

Have great weekend.. dont let that bother you at all....

Hey ... play a 21 for me yeah! jajaja.... Im going in 2 weeks

no. you will get food, etc. i think you heard wrong because there was a strike on wenesday but it wasnt that kind of strick where you get fired or closed down. it was a strike with the insurance thing but it is really actually giving the workers more benefits. the insurance thing was actually the one who organized it . dont worry.
