Will there be a six flags in las vegas or right outside of it like pahrump?

my friends have told me that they saw signs saying that six flags magic mountain in california will close and be built in vegas

Agreed. You're not going to see any park take on the Six Flags name, let alone a new one be conceived, for a very long time. Six Flags is in the hole some 2 billion dollars, hence the selling of many of their parks (including my hometown Darien Lake). If I were you, I wouldn't hope for a Six Flags anyway, from my experience the chain isn't the cream of the Amusement Park crop. As far as another park goes, I wouldn't expect it for a while because a lot of planning and capital goes into constructing a theme park from scratch. I guess you'll have to stick to the casinos and golf courses for now, if you've had your fill of Manhattan Express, Speed, Canyon Blaster, and High Roller. I think those are all the Vegas coasters, anyway...

No. There are no plans for a Six Flags here. Magic Mountain was up for sale for a time, along with 5 or 6 other parks. One potential outcome of a sale was going to have Magic Mountain torn down and homes built on top of it. Six Flags eventually took Magic Mountain off the market, as it does make a good amount of money. Those other parks got sold. Six Flags was selling off properties to buy down their debt.



Currently Magic Mountain is still expanding. They're trying to add more family oriented attractions. So Magic Mountain is safe for now.

LOL no way! The desert is way too hot for an outdoor amusement park of any kind. Your friend may be "pulling your leg."
