Hannah, you're gonna love everything about your time spent there, and I have a bit more to add to what's already been said:

When going to Las Vegas, you must visit the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. The Forum, a huge, covered fresco-style mall, is designed in a manner similar to the streets of Rome in days of old. You will find larger-than-life statues of various gods and goddesses. Adding to the open air atmosphere, brilliant skies and clouds overhead amazingly change in color to reflect daytime and evening. If you've ever yearned to go to Rome but have not yet made it, you can trick your mind into believing that you're actually strolling the streets there. It is soooooo breathtaking -- be sure not to miss the Trevi Fountain replica. Spiral escalators are spectacular -- they even had a fashion show beneath them.

The Forum shops are high-end and pricey but window shopping is free. There is more than haute coutoure fashion, like glassware, china, jewelry, and some fantastic art galleries! Walk among the 'real' money shoppers and enjoy yourself, whatever your tastes dictate.

As far as restaurants go, we ate most meals in some really nice hotel buffets...low cost and great variety, especially dinners at Sahara. But our driver tipped us off to the wonders of breakfast buffet at Circus, Circus. They must have 1,000 items there from which to choose.

A word of caution -- if you are approached by anyone offering free dinners and show tickets in exchange for attending a brief off-site program, run like hell. We fell for one of those schemes that turned out to be a hard-sell tour of time-share condos somewhere far from our hotel. Of course, they expect your signature on the proverbial dotted line, saying you'll buy into the program. It would have been much easier if we had been in a position to join up, but they made us say 'no' to at least 3 different managers before we got the shuttle back to the the hotel.

Yes, we got the dinner and tickets to a show, but it wasn't really free at all. It was like being held ransom for nearly 4 hours! Other than that unfortunate run-in, we loved Vegas...it's a wonderful town Everybody should go there at least once!

Vegas Musts:

1. Bellagio Fountain show--Free

2. XS Nightclub, best by a good margin. Pure is not a bad club but has been eclipsed.

3. Robuchon at MGM (if you can afford it) Absolutely incredible breads, tasting menus but extremely expensive

4. Views from Mandarin Oriental Bar with view from Stratosphere bar very good too. Nurse a drink for less than $20 and enjoy for a while.

5. O is best show in Vegas but Mystere is not bad and often discounted.

If you want a lot of good information on Vegas packed into tables, the website below is a very good source of information and has become my favorite site on Vegas by a landslide. I still check out vegas.com and lasvegasadvisor once in a while too.

Good nightclubs - Pure at Caesars, Tao at Venetian, Palms and Hard Rock are great party hotels

Places to eat - Buffets (Rio, Bellagio, Paris all have good ones), Mon Ami Gabi at Paris (get a patio table for a great view of the Bellagio fountains), Top of the World at Stratosphere

Things to see and do:

*See a show: Cirque shows, Blue Man Group, Penn & Teller, Lance Burton, Jubilee, Lion King, Phantom, Jersey Boys are all good ones to consider

*Free shows on the strip - Bellagio fountains, Mirage volcanoes, Treasure Island pirates

*Bellagio conservatory

*Fremont Street Experience

*MGM Lion Exhibit

*Rides and/or view at Stratosphere

The Carnival World buffet at the Rio is fantastic. Biggest selection of food I've ever seen & reasonable price. No need to pay extra for the Seafood buffet they have. The Carnival Court at Harrahs is fun for live entertainment free during the afternoon. Must go downtown to Fremont street.

Most visitors to Vegas eat at the buffets. Almost all hotels have them and the food is good and very affordable. Are far as what to do and see. Here is a list of activities.

Must see: the Fremont Street Experience

Place to eat: I don't recall the name, but it's located inside of the Wynn and overlooks the golf course.

Wow well next year is so far away I mean what is hot now won't be hot in a year, may not be here in a year, may be more stuff added in a year. Ask this question a couple of months before your visit.

The best club by far is Pure at Caesars.

Dont pay their regular cover charge. Go to a website like http://www.lasvegasnightclubdeals.com where you can get your vip passes for only $15 each.
